Spartan [DEEP] Thoughts with Daniel Curry

Sept. 24, 2009

We followed the “Chain of Command” just like Curry’s “Good Old Mom,” and he facilitated and covered up our daughter’s abuse. - PDF

“A bully is not necessarily someone big and strong…”   Exactly.  They may only be abusive cowards with something to hide.

Daniel Curry acknowledges bullying can lead to school shootings, yet seemed to invite a shooting to CCPS in April 2018, and refuses to allow the responsible, caring administrators, teachers and staff of CCPS to address bullying, which includes so many forms of abuse. - PDF

In Lake Forest Delaware, “Summer and Home Visits,” “Home visits to families of newborns.”  The same thing is being offered by CCPS under the Calvert Tots program, but the schools are only responsible by law for 3yo-21yos.  Why take on anything else when Daniel Curry and the Board can’t seem to manage for what they are supposedly responsible? - PDF

” Superintendent of the Year” simply an “automatic” honor bestowed on past presidents of Delaware Chief School Officers Association - PDF

May 20, 2011

We did what Daniel Curry said and he ordered and covered up abuse.  And he doesn’t deal with “ineffective principals” (or malicious and dangerous); instead, in our experience, he protects them. - PDF

“Nothing between us and the sheep except chicken wire,” “kept an eye on 4-H and FFA boys in their bunks.” - PDF

Sept. 29, 2011

On bullying, we did the things Daniel Curry advises, including telling our kids to “document it,” which was not well received by administrators on down at Southern Middle School, and resulted in threats, ostracism and abuse.   When that didn’t work, we were even threatened with truancy charges by Daniel Curry in the newspaper to try to shut us up.  What outrageous hypocrisy Daniel Curry demonstrates. - PDF

“I’m planting seeds for Spartan Sprouts”  - Spartan Sprouts, home visitors, one-of-a-kind program, 0-3yo, “interested in them as soon as they arrive.”  Does he feel any need to ensure their protection once they reach pre-K or Kindergarten?  He repeatedly says that people just have to deal with the abuse and his vicious, underhanded dishonesty and contempt lead us to believe he actually enjoys people’s pain and difficulty. - PDF

Sure sounds like Curry knew that school shootings were a threat years ago (everyone, let alone educators, did), so why does he even recently talk about them so frequently, with surprise and seeming hopeful eagerness? - PDF

“I believe I’ll stick around [Lake Forest, Delaware, School District] for another ten years.” (emphasis ours)  REALLY?  - PDF

Curry suddenly announced his retirement from the Lake Forest District in Delaware, six months after stating his intention to stick around another ten years.  What changed in 6 months? - PDF

“No wonder she was never married.”  No problem encouraging disdain for teachers there.  Sounds misogynistic, too. - PDF

“Hatched a plan to make Learning Focused Strategies the foundation of our teaching.”  The same expensive program as Curry brought to CCPS.  Why is this such a favorite of his, from one district to the next?  Does it really help the teachers and students, or is it just one more thing that doesn’t do any good, and is nothing more than an expensive distraction, because the real and serious issues are ignored?  We don’t know, but are curious if Learning Focused gives bonuses/gratuities to clients. - PDF
